Imani Charter School, Philadelphia

052009_Philadelphia_PA_From left are African American poets, Maya Angelou, portrayed by kindergardener Skyller Clark, 6, Langston Hughes Jibril Price, 6, and Nikki Giovanni by Anacia Macon, also 6 years old. The students from the Imani Educational Circle Charter School in the Germantown section of Philadelphia dressed as historic black personalities from history. The students made presentations in costume and spoke about the famous person they chose to portray. This event was held in what the school called, The Living Musuem.
